The Promise to Mouima
A Timeless Tale of Moroccan Mint Tea
Some promises transcend time, resonating like songs of love and devotion. This is the story of Zakaria, Hajj Brahim's fifth child, and the oath he made to his mother, Hajja Fatna—affectionately known as Mouima .
In Arabic, " Mouima " (مويما) is a term used to affectionately refer to one's mother or grandmother, especially in Arabic dialect. In literary Arabic, the term "Oummi" (أُمِّي) or "Mama" (ماما) is used.
Every time he visited the family home in Berry, Zakaria would repeat to his mother:
“Mom, your tea is so good that I’m going to make it known all over the world.”
This promise, carefully kept for more than thirty years, is today the soul of Maison NANA1807 — a heritage passed down from generation to generation, inspired by the extraordinary Mouima Mint Tea .

With Franco-Moroccan Origins
The Roots of Maison NANA1807
The history of Maison NANA1807 is deeply rooted in a rich heritage. It begins in Salé, Morocco, where Hajj Brahim Ibn Cherkaoui grew up. Under the French protectorate, Brahim lived under French protection until Morocco's independence in 1956.
In 1966, he was recruited to work in France and settled in Berry, then the heart of economic reconstruction. This is where the history of Moroccan tea in Berry began to be written , well before the birth of Maison NANA1807 .
NÂNÂ | A Name That Resonates
To obtain his first Moroccan passport, Abu Sidi — Hajj Brahim — reluctantly chose the name NÂNÂ, then EN NANA, to distinguish himself among the many Cherkaoui migrants to France.
This name, which means “mint” in Arabic (نعناع), becomes the very symbol of Maison NANA1807 and its mission: to offer the best Mint Tea, with passion and authenticity.

The Best Mint Tea in the Heart of Berry
From Rosières to the Whole World
A few years after his arrival in France, Brahim and his family settled in Rosières, a charming village in the Champagne-Berrichonne region, renowned for its great chefs and appreciated by the legendary Paul Bocuse.
This is where Mouima, nicknamed Madame Nana de Rosières , made a name for herself with her exceptional Moroccan Mint Tea . Her meticulous preparation and deep respect for Moroccan traditions quickly won over locals and visitors alike, making her tea the best Mint Tea in Berry .
