The Olivier Award | A project at the crossroads of arts, entrepreneurship and intercultural dialogue

A joint initiative of Maison NANA1807 and the Atelier de l'Olivier , the Prix de l'Olivier is part of a bold artistic and societal approach, selected as part of the support phase of the Bourges 2028 call for creative projects .

This prize embodies a strong ambition: to promote crafts , traditional knowledge , artistic initiatives and female creativity through projects that link East and West . It is part of a dynamic of intergenerational transmission , intercultural dialogue and the promotion of peace .

A project supported by Bourges 2028 | European Capital of Culture

The Olivier Prize was selected in the support phase by the CR! academy, the creative mechanism of Bourges 2028. This recognition gives it access to a European dynamic of exchange, visibility and long-term structuring.

The CR! (Contributions for Reinventing Imaginaries) is a call for artistic and cultural projects open to artists and project leaders from the Centre-Val de Loire region as well as cities in the Matrice region. The selected projects will contribute to the official Bourges 2028 program.

The selection of winners is expected in December 2025 .

A structured trajectory from 2025 to 2028

From December 2025 to June 2028, the Olivier Prize will support initiatives led by women creators , artists , craftswomen and entrepreneurs from the northern and southern shores of the Mediterranean.

Residencies, exhibitions, digital campaigns, public events... So many formats designed to promote the living links between heritage , contemporary creation and female commitment .

A first highlight is being considered around female entrepreneurship, culture and crafts , with possible settings in emblematic places such as the Domaine de Nohant , dear to George Sand, or the Palais Jacques Cœur in Bourges.

For several years, the Saturdays of Creation have been a focal point of the Ateliers de l'Olivier in Mehun-sur-Yèvre. By promoting local artisans, artists, and entrepreneurs in a friendly and engaging atmosphere, these events have laid the foundation for a lasting cultural dynamic.

This energy will be amplified from 2026 with the creation of Creation Week , an annual event organized every beginning of June. This highlight will bring together exhibitions , conferences , workshops and awards ceremonies to offer increased visibility to the winners and to all the women who create, innovate and transmit.

The apotheosis of this trajectory will take the form of the Festival of Creation , in June 2028 in Bourges , in the heart of the European Capital of Culture. This festival will bring together the most emblematic projects, key partners and the energies mobilized around the Prix de l'Olivier , in a spirit of Euro-Mediterranean cooperation and celebration of cultural and artisanal diversity .
