Meditation around Mint Tea
A Mint Tea after Christmas
The day after Christmas, Maison NANA1807 invites you to a meditation session around Mint tea .
Around this Mint Tea , you will learn that Īsā ibn Maryam ( (in Arabic: عيسى ابن مريم , in French Jesus, son of Mary) is as important for Christians as for Muslims.
Like the New Testament in the Bible, the Koran depicts Jesus as al-Masih (in Arabic المسيح , in French the Messiah) who was sent to guide the Israelites. He performed many miracles. He was rejected by the Jewish establishment and then raised to heaven.
While enjoying a Mint Rooibos or the traditional Mint Green Tea from Mouima , here are the facts about the life of Jesus described in the Quran:
Jesus is mentioned more than Muhammad
Jesus is mentioned in the Qur'an more often than Prophet Muhammad, directly and indirectly, as "Son of Mary", or in the third person. Jesus is therefore the direct predecessor of the Prophet Muhammad.
The miracle of the nativity
The Koranic nativity resembles very much the Christian nativity. Jesus was born out of a virgin, in the image of Adam created by the will of God. Mary is a virgin in Islam, as she is in the Gospels of Luke and Matthew
"Then she motioned to him. They said," How would we talk to a baby in his crib? "
And he answered them:" I am truly the servant of Allah. He gave me the Book and appointed me Prophet. "" (Quran 19: 29-30)
Judgment Day
According to the Koran, Jesus will return to earth before the Judgment Day to defeat al-Dajjâl (in Arabic: الدجّال , in French the Impostor) or al-Masîh al-Daajjâl (in Arabic: المسيح الدجّال , in French the deceptive Messiah) corresponding to the Antichrist. A demonic figure placed under the domination of Shayṭān ( شَيْطٰان , in French Satan) whose mission is to lead people away from the path of Truth.
The crucifixion
The Qur'an states that Jesus was spared from death and that God saved him, before the crucifixion scene depicted in Christian iconography.
“When They boast" We killed the Messiah - Jesus, son of Mary "- verily they did not kill him, nor crucify him, but so he was revealed to them. So those who differ from it are full of doubts, without knowledge, and only follow a conjecture, for they certainly did not kill him ”(Quran 4: 157)
The Virgin Mary
Maryam (in Arabic: مريم , in French: Mary) is the virgin mother of Jesus and is the only woman mentioned by her given name in the Quran. Sura 19 bears his first name and is fully dedicated to him.
According to the Koran, Mary is identified as the most exceptional among women. And she is cited more often in the Koran than in the New Testament in the Bible.
Prophet Muhammad describes Mary as the one who attains the highest rank in Heaven, basically the best woman in all mankind.
At the end of this session of Mint Tea tasting , you will remember that Jesus is not the son of God, and that he was not crucified, according to the Koran
.“And do not argue with the people of the Book, unless it is in a beautiful way, apart from those who do wrong, and say to them, 'We believe in what has caused us been revealed, and we believe in what was sent to you, Our God and your God is One and Only, and in Him Alone we trust. ‘” (Quran 29:46)
