A commitment to peace and solidarity

Maison NANA1807 is proud to participate in the inauguration of the Izouran festival, held in Ait Ben Haddou, one year after the devastating earthquake that hit southern Morocco. This festival celebrates Berber roots and offers a space for resilience for affected communities. Alongside We Speak Citizen, led by Ms. Loubna Mouna, the Maison is strengthening its commitment to solidarity through concrete initiatives such as the Solidarity Tea COEURS DU MAROC and the Mint Tea For Peace program.

The importance of Ait Ben Haddou after the earthquake

The choice of Ait Ben Haddou to host this edition of the festival is of symbolic importance. This UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for its ksours and breathtaking landscapes, was itself affected by the earthquakes that destroyed thousands of villages in southern Morocco. By bringing together communities, artists, and associative partners, the Izouran festival becomes a place of sharing and reconstruction, embodying the spirit of resilience and solidarity.

Maison NANA1807, in collaboration with We Speak Citizen, is fully part of this dynamic. Together, we actively participate in local initiatives for the rehabilitation of infrastructure and the support of affected families. We would like to salute the work of the We Speak Citizen team, which, under the leadership of Ms. Loubna Mouna, acts with efficiency and dedication to carry out these actions.

Solidarity Tea HEARTS OF MOROCCO: A project for reconstruction

One of the partnership's flagship actions is the promotion of the HEARTS OF MOROCCO Solidarity Tea. This tea blend, a symbol of Berber traditions, was designed to combine pleasure and solidarity. Each cup of this tea helps finance humanitarian programs in affected villages, including those supported by We Speak Citizen. By tasting this tea, consumers participate in the reconstruction of disaster areas and the preservation of Moroccan cultural heritage.

The Solidarity Tea COEURS DU MAROC embodies the core values of Maison NANA1807: combining artisanal quality with a responsible approach, where each product becomes a lever for a better world. Our partnership with We Speak Citizen reinforces this mission, by providing resources directly to Berber communities

Mint Tea For Peace: Peace through tea culture

As part of the festival, Maison NANA1807 will organize a special Mint Tea For Peace ceremony. This program, at the heart of our initiatives for several years, highlights mint tea as a vector of dialogue and peace. During this ceremony, we will invite participants to come together around the tradition of tea, to discuss the issues of peace, ecology, and cultural diversity.

The ceremony will be followed by a Mintéalogie workshop, where participants will be able to discover the art and science of mint tea, its benefits, as well as the current challenges related to its production. This moment of sharing will also be an opportunity to highlight the importance of preserving this tradition in an ever-changing world.

Creation of a solidarity tea room

In parallel with its commitment to the Izouran festival, Maison NANA1807 is studying the creation of a solidarity tea room in partnership with the Atelier de l'Olivier and We Speak Citizen. This place will promote solidarity initiatives while offering a cultural experience around mint tea. The revenues generated will contribute directly to reconstruction projects and support for Berber communities in southern Morocco, strengthening local and international action for peace and solidarity.

A partnership committed to the future

The partnership between Maison NANA1807 and We Speak Citizen is a concrete example of how solidarity and collaboration can change lives. By working hand in hand, we contribute to providing concrete solutions to the challenges faced by rural communities in southern Morocco, while promoting values of peace and respect through our products.

The Izouran Festival, with its rich artistic and cultural programming, offers an ideal setting to strengthen these commitments and to highlight the beauty and resilience of Berber traditions. Through our participation, we hope to inspire others to join this movement of solidarity.
