A Cultural Trip to Southern Morocco

To create a Solidarity Tea Room

As part of the “Mint Tea For Peace” Program

From October 14 to 21, 2024, Maison NANA1807 and L'Atelier de L'Olivier organize an exceptional trip to the heart of southern Morocco.

This initiative, part of the program Mint Tea For Peace is a great opportunity to discover the rich and diverse heritage of Morocco while contributing to a solidarity cause.

This program, co-founded by the Maison NANA1807 and the Atelier de l'Olivier , aims to promote cultural diversity, artistic crafts and Mintealogy .

An Adventure in the Heart of Morocco

The trip offers a deep immersion in Moroccan traditions, with an itinerary carefully designed to provide participants with an unforgettable experience.

Destinations include Marrakech, Ouarzazate and the historic village of Ait Ben Haddou, known for its kasbahs and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

2024 - Travel Marrakech Morocco Mint Tea For Peace Maison NANA1807 Maison du Thé à la la Mint ORGANIC

Day 1 (October 14, 2024) - Arrival in Marrakech

The adventure begins in Marrakech, the red city, where participants will be welcomed at the airport and transferred to their hotel.

The afternoon will be devoted to an excursion in the medina, with the discovery of the souks, the Jemaa el-Fna square, the Majorelle gardens and the Bahia palace.

The day will conclude with a traditional Moroccan dinner, followed by a Mint Tea for Peace ceremony .

Day 2 and 3 (October 15 and 16, 2024): Marrakech – Ouarzazate

On the second day, travelers will depart for Ouarzazate, crossing the spectacular Tizi n'Tichka pass.

The mornings of the two days will be devoted to work sessions on the Solidarity Tea Room project, and Mintéalogy workshops .

In the afternoons, excursions will be organized, notably to the Kasbah of Taourirt and the film studios of Ouarzazate.

The evenings will be dedicated to dinners and relaxing nights in Ouarzazate.

Day 4 (October 17, 2024) : Meeting with WeSpeakCitizen in Ait Ben Haddou

On October 17, the group will head to Ait Ben Haddou to meet the teams of the NGO WeSpeakCitizen.

The afternoon will be marked by a report from the working group led by the Atelier de l'Olivier, concerning the design of the solidarity tea room.

The day will end with a friendly dinner and a night in Ait Ben Haddou.

Izouran Festival: A Celebration of Amazigh Culture

From October 18 to 20, participants will have the opportunity to participate in the Izouran festival, an event organized by WeSpeakCitizen to celebrate Amazigh heritage.

The festival program is rich and varied, offering an in-depth exploration of arts, centuries-old crafts, music and local traditions.

Day 5 (October 18, 2024): Opening of the Festival

On Friday, October 18, after check-in from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the festival will begin at 5:00 p.m. with an opening circle, and a Mint Tea for Peace ceremony.

The opening of the photo exhibition will follow at 6 p.m. Crossed looks.

The evening will continue with an inaugural conference at 7:00 p.m., hosted by Yasmine Chami and Achille Mbembe, then a cocktail dinner at 8:30 p.m. and a Jubantouja concert at 9:30 p.m.

Day 6 (October 19, 2024): Visit and Conferences

Saturday October 19 will begin with a visit to the house of orality in the Ksar of Ait Benhaddou from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

After a meal break from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., a conference with Aomar Boum and Véronique Tadjo will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., followed by an Artisans Masterclass and a Mintéalogy Workshop from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The day will conclude with a Mririda evening at 9:00 p.m., with concerts, poetry readings, slam and much more.

Day 7 (October 20, 2024): Discovery of the Ounila Valley

On Sunday, October 20, participants will set off for a walking tour to discover the legendary Ounila valley from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The meal break will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Then, the group will leave for Marrakech, where a closing dinner and a Mint Tea for Peace ceremony will take place in a Mecca of Moroccan hospitality in Marrakech.

Day 8 (October 21, 2024): Departure from Marrakech

On October 21, after a final breakfast at the hotel, participants will be transferred to Marrakech airport for their return flight.

A Solidarity and Cultural Initiative

This trip is not limited to cultural discovery; it is part of a solidarity approach.

By participating, travelers will actively contribute to the creation of a Solidarity Tea Room in Ait Ben Haddou, and possibly in other places...

This project, carried out in collaboration with the Atelier de l'Olivier, mobilizes craftsmen from Berry and France.

The aim is to promote the local economy and support reconstruction initiatives in rural areas affected by the September 2023 earthquake.

Participating in this trip means supporting a noble cause while immersing yourself in a rich and diverse culture.

The funds raised will directly contribute to the projects of the NGO WeSpeakCitizen, in particular the preservation of heritage and the reconstruction of villages.

      • 1650 € incl. VAT per person (based on a double room - single supplement depending on your accommodation) for the entire stay , including:
