Invitation to Celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Villemenard Castle
On June 28th and 29th, 2025 , a unique event will take place in Saint-Germain-du-Puy , near Bourges. The Château de Villemenard , a discreet jewel of the Berry region, celebrates its centenary with grace, a focus on history, and creativity. For this occasion, two houses steeped in excellence and the transmission of tradition are joining forces: Maison NANA1807 , Maison du Thé en Berry (Tea House of Berry), and l'Atelier de l'Olivier (Olive Workshop ), a champion of living crafts .
For an entire weekend, the place will be transformed into a poetic, popular and cultural scene, blending history, craftsmanship and hospitality around essential values: shared time, peace, and the beauty of the gesture.
A Tea House in Berry | For Transmission and Peace
Founded with respect for Moroccan traditions and the know-how of Berry, Maison NANA1807 has established itself as a unique Tea House in Berry . It offers an artisanal and sensory approach to tea, in particular mint tea , considered here not only as a beverage, but as a true ritual of peace and conviviality .
To mark its centenary, the House will offer a Mint Tea Ceremony for Peace – a ritual inspired by Moroccan traditions, reimagined with a contemporary touch. This poignant moment invites visitors to slow down, taste, smell, and enter into a form of collective meditation through the sharing of tea.
Mintealogy | A workshop at the intersection of Science, Art and Culture
Among the experiences offered to the public, a Mintéalogy workshop will take place on the castle terrace. This discipline, invented by Maison NANA1807, invites participants to explore the multiple dimensions of mint tea:

In perfect harmony, the Atelier de l'Olivier , also located in Berry, will present a selection of creations from the arts and crafts sector at the Château de Villemenard: wood, clay, textiles, and reimagined everyday objects. Through demonstrations, exhibitions, and encounters with the artisans, visitors will discover the skill of the hands, the slow, deliberate process of shaping, and the poetry of the useful and beautiful object.
In an era marked by speed and abundance, the crafts appear here as a sensitive response to the search for meaning. They engage in a dialogue with the tea ceremony, sharing a common logic of care, presence, and simple beauty.
