Moroccan-Berrichon tea was born thanks to Maison NANA1807
Zakaria Nânâ served tea to her guests in the pure Moroccan tradition.
“ My mother's tea was so good that I told her I would sell it to the whole world. »
Zakaria Nânâ kept his promise. After a career in new technologies, in 2017 he launched Maison Nânâ1807, a company manufacturing great mint teas.
The product manufacturing and shipping workshops are located in Lunery, in Zakaria Nânâ's childhood home. It is here that he welcomes the ten people who have made the trip as part of the secret visits organized by Bourges Berry Tourisme.
Zakaria Nânâ's mother (center) had an important role in her life.
By way of introduction, he presents to his guests the house's first tea blend, Mouima, designed in homage to his mother, who died in 2015. “ It's the first Moroccan-Berrichon tea ,” enthuses Zakaria Nânâ , proud of its dual culture. Five other tea recipes have been imagined, ranging from green tea to black tea and rooibos.
“Making Berry a Mecca for Mint Tea”
“ A great tea is like a good wine. You have to look at her dress, smell her scent ,” announces Zakaria Nânâ, before serving her guests a cup of tea, in the pure Moroccan tradition. A tea lover, Martine is full of praise: “ How good it is! No sugar, that's how I like it. »
Maison Nânâ1807 offers six different tea recipes.
For the moment, the company imports mint from Portugal, due to a lack of sufficient quantity in Berry. “ We hope to dedicate half a hectare of our land to planting mint and use it in our products by 2023-2024 ,” explains Zakaria Nânâ who assures that “ all the products are natural and plant-based ”.
The teas are sold on the Internet as well as in the Maison Nânâ1807 boutique, with a 20% discount if purchased on site.
The entrepreneur's ambition is great: “ to create 100 mint tea recipes within five to ten years. The goal is for Berry to become a mecca for mint tea .”
