Organic Moroccan Mint Tea Recipe
Ingredients for the Organic Mint Tea Recipe
- 1 bunch of fresh organic or Demeter mint leaves
- 2 tablespoons of
Organic Gunpowder Green Tea or Demeter - A pinch of stevia leaf powder, or a spoonful of agave syrup, or organic honey
Preparation of Moroccan Mint Tea

Boil Water : Boil water in a pot or kettle until boiling. Use mountain spring water for best brew quality.

Prepare the Mint : Wash the bunch of fresh mint in clean water, then cut the stems.

Prepare the Teapot : Rinse the inside of your teapot with a little hot water.

Add Green Tea : Add two tablespoons of
Gunpowder Green Tea in a 500ml teapot. -
Rinsing Green Tea : Pour hot water over the tea leaves, wait a few seconds while swirling the water inside the teapot, then discard this rinse water.

Brewing Green Tea : Fill the teapot with boiling water to submerge the tea leaves and let steep for two minutes.

Add Mint and Sweetener : Add fresh mint and optionally your favorite sweetener (stevia powder, agave syrup, or organic honey).

Add Water : Fill the teapot three-quarters full with boiled water, completely submerging all ingredients.

Bring to a Boil : Heat the mixture over low heat until the mint leaves rise to the surface and the mixture becomes bubbly and frothy.

Mixing the Tea : Mix by pouring the tea into two glasses, then transfer the tea from each glass into the teapot. Repeat this process five to seven times.

Serving Tea : Fill tea glasses two-thirds full, holding the teapot as high as possible to obtain a nice frothy crown. Moroccan tea can be served with dates, dried fruits, or Moroccan pastries. It also goes perfectly with a meal and is an excellent digestif.
