Portrait of Mouima | The Origin of Mouima Tea

Some traditions are passed down in books. Others live on in a person's actions.
Mouima, the Moroccan grandmother of the NANA family, is the inspiration behind the MOUIMA Tea from Maison NANA1807.
Between Morocco and Berry, her heritage continues to inspire a vision of tea based on hospitality, generosity, and respect for plants.
Today, MOUIMA Tea perpetuates this family memory and embodies the very soul of Maison NANA1807.

Salé | The Cradle of a Tradition
Mouima was born in Salé, a historic Moroccan city located opposite Rabat. In this port city open to the Atlantic, family traditions and hospitality play an essential role in daily life.
From a very young age, she learned the gestures involved in preparing tea alongside her mother. The choice of leaves, the freshness of the mint, the patience of the infusion, and the elegance of the service gradually became a language of sharing.
These simple and precise gestures form the heritage that would later inspire the philosophy of Maison NANA1807.

From Morocco to Berry | A Traveling Tradition
Life led Mouima to Berry, in the heart of France. Far from the Atlantic Ocean and the alleyways of Salé, she brought with her the scents and memories of her childhood.
In the garden of the Domaine de Rosières, she replanted the NÂNÂ mint, a symbol of her native Morocco. Over the seasons, this mint met the Berry soil and mingled with local varieties.
Very quickly, neighbors and friends discovered her mint tea and spoke of the best mint tea in Berry. Unbeknownst to her, Mouima had sown the first seeds of what would later become Maison NANA1807.
