Mint Tea & Silent Meditation Retreat

Meditation with Mint Tea

Silence with Mint Tea

In a serene setting surrounded by trees, roses, and mint, overlooking a meandering river, you arrive at Domaine de Rosières, home to Maison NANA1807. This enchanting place is perfect for enjoying a collection of Mint Teas and an ideal retreat for silent meditation. With beautiful nature and a welcoming atmosphere, you are warmly invited to Berry!

Amidst the tranquil Berrichon countryside, you’ll find secluded spots where meditation with Mint Tea can bring peace.

"All of humanity's problems stem from man's inability to sit quietly in a room alone." - Blaise Pascal

For centuries, silent meditation was reserved for the few who renounced the world to seek communion—whether with the divine, the universe, or their own inner selves—in remote cloisters and retreat centers around the globe.

Today, however, silent meditation practices are widely accessible. The most popular form of this meditation is known as Vipassana ("seeing things as they are").

In Buddhism, "Vipassanā" involves observing the mind, the source of both well-being and suffering, to understand its emptiness. This state is achieved by examining the origin, dwelling, and destination of the thoughts that arise in the mind.

At Maison NANA1807, we invite you to engage in silent meditation before enjoying Mint Tea, known as Murâqabah (in Arabic: مُراقَبة) - which literally means "observation."

This meditation technique is a process of gradually detaching from worldly activities at your own pace. The ultimate goal is to nourish your heart with divine love, restoring the original freedom of human nature.

The Quran teaches us that the purpose of human existence is to worship God, love Him, and know Him.

"I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me" (Quran 51:56).

The origins of Murâqabah can be traced back to the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad:

"Worship Allah as if you see Him, and if you do not see Him, know that He sees you." - Prophet Muhammad

In this practice, it is recommended to sit in silent meditation for at least twenty minutes. No specific posture is required. Initially, a natural flow of various thoughts will arise. At this stage, do not try to control your thoughts, as yoga might suggest. The most important aspect is to awaken your heart, focusing on your best feelings.

The fruit of Murâqabah is a state of total tranquility—"Calm," "Confidence," "Comfort." This "3C" formula, combined with the tranquility of the heart, leads to a state of contentment in life, known as Sakinah (in Arabic: سكينة).

"It is He who sent down calmness into the hearts of the believers so that they may add faith to their faith" (Quran 48:4).

At the end of each meditation session, Maison NANA1807 offers you a Mint Tea. In our current collection, you can enjoy five unique Mint Tea recipes—five excellent reasons to meditate silently at your own pace and according to your preferences.
