Walk in... Mehun-sur-Yèvre
There are few towns in Berry that history has so blessed. Mehun-sur-Yèvre boasts a castle like no other, a canal undergoing a complete revival, a porcelain maker symbolizing French elegance, where the first Moroccan-Berrichon tea ever served! The art of hospitality here is coupled with a dedicated art of celebration, thanks to a provincial cabaret whose mirror ball shines far beyond the borders of Cher. All roads lead to Mehun...

The Art of Receiving
Mehun cultivates the art of hosting, and Zakaria Nana has understood this well. A few months ago, he opened his tea room here, in the heart of this Berry region that is dear to him. This enthusiast founded Maison Nana1807 in 2020, specializing in the production of Mint Teas .
An adventure born from a family promise: to perpetuate his mother's know-how by creating " the best Mint Tea in the world ." The name of his first collection is Mouima , "a tribute to my grandmother," he confides.
Maison Nana1807 produces organic teas in its workshop at Domaine des Rosières (commune of Lunery) and offers four flagship collections: Moroccan Tea, Earl Grey Mint, Mint Rooibos, and Flavored Mint Teas. A Berry-inspired blend is also in the works: it already smells of delicate apple aromas... to be enjoyed in a porcelain tea service from Maison Pillivuyt .
Tea, Symbol of Peace
In Zakaria Nana's native Morocco, tea and its rituals symbolize hospitality, conviviality, and peace . Solidarity collaborations have emerged, such as with the Cœur des mots tea, which, like the eponymous association, campaigns for gender equality . With Mehun-sur-Yèvre as a springboard, Zakaria NANA is considering opening in Châteauroux and, in the longer term, international development, particularly in Morocco... One cup at a time.
Mehun, City of Artisans
Mehun proudly bears the title of City and Crafts of Art and promotes the installation of craftsmen with financial aid possibilities. Like Marie Leyssou , upholsterer and decorator, who shapes and restores furniture with passion and creativity. Beyond the know-how, it is her commitment to transmission and social bonds that leaves a lasting impression. She organizes creative weekends and in June, a Creative Week combining exhibitions, workshops, and conferences.
With the Rhizome collective , which brings together several artisans in Bourges, she participates in the creation of exceptional works . In her workshop, sharing is at the heart of everything . A place where creation is alive, vibrant... And contagious .
